During summer season the island is invaded mainly by young people in search of fun, while from September/October it is full of retired people and children in pre scholar age.
Generally speaking all hotels and restaurants provide facilities for children and specific menus. Preparing paps and bottles is never a problem, and some hotel chains provide the breakfast room with microwaves for their customers.
Supermarkets are well equipped with the necessary
for babies (paps, powder milk, nappies exc..), and it is rather easy to find changing facilities in public toilets (in all airports toilets are provided with baby rooms). The whole tourist area of Palma is easily accessible with strollers, both in the pedestrian area and along the sea, where a huge promenade skirts the coast.
In general the main cities and places are child-sized. Â
The local population is also very nice, even at the end of the tourist season, and children receive everywhere care and attention. not to forget that on all the island, including Palma de Mallorca, episodes of crimes are very rare, the streets and public places are clean, and the respect of road sign (for instance giving priority to pedestrians) is strictly followed.
