How to move in Palma de Mallorca

If you plan to limit your visit to the city of Palma de Mallorca, a tour on foot or by public transport is the best way.Palma di Maiorca

The city stretches out along the sea with a pleasant promenade, and the old town is almost entirely pedestrian.

If you wish to reach the suburban area, you can make use of buses. There is no underground.
On the contrary, if you plan to make a tour of the island, the best solution is renting a car.

Taxis are comfortable but expensive on long itineraries, while the railway line covers only the stretch between Palma de Mallorca – Inca; Inca – Pobla and Palma de Mallorca – Soller.

Bus lines perfectly connect the regional capital with the other main towns, but they do not reach the most isolated beaches.

Finally, you may consider an alternative tour of the island by sea: there are numerous boats that offer transfer services for the main tourist locations and bays, or arrange mini cruises to the finest bays of the island.

In this case it is recommendable to choose your specific solution on place.
